ENGLISH YOGA TEACHER IN SWITZERLAND

Hello, I’m Jess! Originally from the English countryside, I’m now living in Geneva, Switzerland with my partner, two cats and lots of house plants. I organise yoga events, retreats and teacher trainings. I’ll be launching my online studio and courses during 2024 so please stay tuned for that.

If you’d like to join me for a weekly class at Herstreet in Eaux Vives, you can book below.

My yoga journey

Believe it or not, I didn’t enjoy my first yoga class. Having come from an intense sporting background and grown up with a “no pain no gain” attitude, it wasn't something that I instantly resonated with and as I lay in my first Savasana I remember willing it to end! Yet here I am - a Yoga Teacher!

I fell in love with yoga when I found an amazing studio with a bunch of down-to-earth, knowledgeable and friendly teachers and before I knew it I was hooked. It was strangely addictive and a little while later I quit my job and flew to Thailand to do my first teacher training. Since then I’ve taught in many beautiful places around the world and taken every opportunity to learn more about bodies, minds and movement.

I make sure my teaching honours the essence of yoga. I support the spiritual and energetic roots with modern day movement science, fascinating mind-body facts, and personal words of wisdom.

My hope is that you’ll be able to take your practice beyond the poses and begin to embody the principles in your everyday life. My aim is to help you understand and experience the less tangible mental and emotional sides of yoga while forming a stronger, more compassionate connection to your body.

For me, yoga is a very holistic practice and so I strongly believe these aspects are of equal importance to the physical movements. I hope you’ll enjoy exploring the inner workings of your mind-body connection with me - it’s mind-blowing stuff!

I look forward to practicing together soon!
