Why this YTT?

There are thousands of YTTs out there, so why choose this one?

  • While many YTTs welcome students who sign up purely for self development - this one is different.

This training isn’t just about deepening your personal practice - it’s specifically designed for people who truly want to teach and are serious about stepping into the role of a teacher.

  • You’ll gain a strong foundation in guiding classes, but also the business know-how to build a sustainable career.

From developing your unique teaching style to exploring opportunities beyond the traditional studio setting, this training sets you up for success right from the start.

And the best part? The support doesn’t stop when you receive your certificate. You’ll get a whole year of ongoing mentorship, business support and career advice once you graduate.

This is a big deal and not something included in other YTTs.

  • This isn’t a one-size-fits-all training and I’m not here to mass-produce identical yoga teachers.

You’ll gain the essential knowledge, inspiration, and skills to teach, but you’ll also be encouraged to apply them in a way that feels authentic to you. My goal isn’t to mold you into a mini-me, but to give you the confidence and freedom to develop your own style and way of sharing.

  • We all have different backgrounds, experiences, and personalities. We’re all different shapes and sizes, with unique skeletons and movement habits. That’s celebrated and embraced in this YTT - from learning about individual anatomy, to letting your personality shine through when you teach.

  • You won’t wait until the final days to start teaching. From the very beginning, you’ll lead and refine your skills in a supportive environment, so you graduate feeling confident and prepared.

  • Instead of cookie-cutter solutions, you’ll embrace the idea that “it depends”.

You’ll learn how to assess and evaluate situations, adapt your teaching, and make informed decisions rather than just repeating what you’ve been taught.

It’s important to know stuff, but it’s much more important to know the why behind the what, when and how. This ensures that you’re not repeating or reciting information, but really applying and adapting it effectively.

  • Ancient wisdom meets real world application. You’ll learn how to weave philosophy into your classes (and life) naturally, making it meaningful and accessible, rather than something that feels scripted or forced.

  • My sequencing framework (developed through my many years of teaching) means that by the end of the course you’ll be able to plan a class in just 10 minutes.

You’ll learn much, much more than simple Hatha or Vinyasa styles. It’s a very customisable framework that you can truly personalise to suit your preferences and personality. This means you can plan something calm and gentle, or something dynamic and powerful.

Not all YTTs are created equally.

In this training we do things differently in order to overcome the common problems that many students struggle with.

  • The solution: I break everything down into digestible chunks and make sure it all connects, so rather than drowning in information, you start to add layers to your understanding throughout the course.

My goal is for you to actually use what you learn, not just memorise information. If there’s too much to digest at once then the overwhelm stops you from taking action - which is the opposite of what we want.

This is also why the year-long mentorship is so valuable - it gives you a chance to try understand and integrate everything.

  • The solution: This training isn’t just about getting certified - it’s about getting ready to teach. You'll graduate with a clear plan, plus ongoing support to help you kick-start your teaching career with confidence.

  • The solution: I make a point of showing you how everything fits together. Whether it's anatomy, philosophy, energy, or sequencing, you'll see how each piece supports the others, so your understanding (and your teaching) feels cohesive and complete.

  • The solution: From the very beginning, you'll be up and teaching - starting with small elements and gradually building to full classes. By the time you graduate, guiding a class will feel natural, not nerve-wracking.

  • The solution: I teach anatomy in a way that’s practical, engaging, and directly linked to how you move and teach. No memorising random muscle names - just useful, applicable knowledge that makes a difference to your personal practice, as well as improving your class planning and cueing skills.

  • The solution: There’s no “one right way” to teach or practice yoga. I’ll give you frameworks and tools so you can make informed decisions that really resonate with you, rather than blindly following outdated rules.

  • The solution: I don’t just teach yoga - I teach you how to turn it into a career. You'll get business guidance, mentorship, and real-world strategies so you can make teaching sustainable.

  • The solution: Yoga is for everybody and every body. This training is inclusive, down-to-earth, and built on the belief that you don’t have to be a certain size, shape, or personality type to be an amazing teacher.

If you worry you’re not flexible enough or have to master headstand to be a legitimate teacher - this YTT is for you. I focus on making yoga accessible, so you’ll learn how to teach real people - not just those who fit the flexible stereotype.

This is the perfect training for you if…

You want to teach yoga.

Not just deepen your own practice.

You want hands-on experience from day one.

Because you can’t teach yoga from a textbook.

You know yoga is for everybody and every body.

But you’re smart enough to know it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach.

You want to explore yoga beyond the asanas.

And love the idea of a training that balances deep learning with lighthearted teaching, and blends the wisdom of yoga’s spiritual roots with modern science.

You want more than just a certificate.

You’re looking for ongoing support, mentorship, and practical business guidance to help you kick-start your teaching career with confidence.

But we won’t be the best fit if…

You’re looking for a yoga retreat.

This is an intensive teacher training, not a holiday.

You’re signing up purely for personal growth.

If you’re definitely not interested in teaching, my yoga student training is for you.

You want a cookie-cutter approach.

This training will challenge you to think, not just follow.

You’re not ready to put in the effort.

This training is engaging, rewarding, and fun, but it’s also intensive and requires commitment.

You’re looking to master the pretzel-like poses.

We’ll play around with peak postures, but this training is more about an accessible, inclusive and holistic approach to yoga that extends far beyond handstands.

I have three main goals when teaching this training.

White number one on a dark gray circle background.

For you to fall in love with yoga all over again (and again, and again).

I want to help you create a more meaningful connection to the practice - both on and off your yoga mat.

White number two inside a dark circle background.

To equip you with everything you need to become an authentic and badass yoga teacher.

This training is hands-on from the start, so you’ll leave with the confidence and excitement to start teaching as soon as you head home.

White number three on a dark gray circular background.

To have fun while doing it.

Yoga is really important, but that doesn’t mean it has to be so serious. We balance deep discussions and geeky topics with a little laughter - it’s better for learning.

Graduate school

A one-year mentorship programme to set you up for success.

  • Unlike many other programmes, I wont just hand you a certificate and send you off on your own.

Instead, you’ll get a full year of ongoing group support, additional resources, and personalised coaching to ensure you’re fully equipped to succeed as a yoga teacher.

➜ You won’t see this in most trainings. This kind of support is typically reserved for $1,000 - $3,000 business programmes, but you’re getting it as part of the training. It’s a big perk.

  • After completing a YTT, many new teachers struggle to maintain a personal practice that isn’t tied to teaching. It’s all too easy to use your time on the mat for class planning, or to go to the studio and find yourself analysing every sequence, cue, and transition instead of simply being present.

This part of the mentorship is all about helping you reconnect with your own practice, both on and off the mat, and to keep it separate from teaching.

    • Staying inspired in your personal practice: Making sure your time on the mat is for you, not your students.

    • Living the philosophy: Integrate yoga off-the-mat in a way that feels natural.

    • Nervous system self-care: Soothe your soul and un-boggle your brain. Use breathing, mindfulness and meditation practices for rest and reflection.

    • Bite-sized reminders and revision topics: We cover a lot of information during the YTT, and it’s normal to forget things when you’re home. Each week you’ll receive an email with a short summary, focus point or task for the days ahead, so you can revisit key topics and takeaways in a more manageable way and really wrap your head around them.

  • By the end of the training you’ll have all the knowledge you need to teach an amazing yoga class, but of course, practice makes perfect. That’s why it’s important to get on-going guidance and support to shape your skills.

Here’s how I can help with that:

    • Feedback on your sequences, themes and class plans: Get personalised feedback so you can keep tweaking things until you’re completely satisfied and can sequence an incredible class in under 10 minutes.

    • A monthly theme and class plan: Each month, I’ll provide a ready-to-go class plan that you can use as inspiration.

    • Finding your groove: Authenticity is key - take off the mask and teach from your heart.

    • Monthly Q+A calls: Each month you’ll get a live group call with me, where we can catch up and chat all things yoga. You can ask questions and chat about any challenges or breakthroughs.

    • Overcoming imposter syndrome: Tackle doubts and fears that may arise and foster a mindset that supports your growth.

  • Being a great teacher is only half of the battle. With the yoga industry becoming more competitive, it’s essential to stand out, establish a signature offer, and speak directly to your dream students.

Before becoming a yoga teacher I spent many years working in marketing and event planning (it’s actually my what degree is in), so I’m here to help ease the overwhelm and accompany you as you turn your passion into something profitable.

Together we’ll explore topics such as:

    • Exploring your options: Think outside the studio. There’s more to offer than weekly drop-in classes. We’ll explore online options, workshops, retreats, collaborations, and much more, so you can craft something that suits your strengths.

    • Finding a niche: Stop trying to blend in - aim to stand out. It’s the first step towards success.

    • Build your yoga vision: Craft an action plan to bring your ideas to life.

    • Pricing strategies and value perception: Learn how to price your projects and communicate their value.

    • Connecting with your ideal students: Build a loyal community.

    • Showing up authentically on social media: without worrying about vanity metrics.

    • Creating a website: Your own online space.

    • Business tools: My personal platform recommendations.

    • How to market your offer: Getting the message out there.

    • Building a sustainable and scalable business: One that grows with you and works for you.

    • Avoiding burn-out: How to manage your momentum and motivation.

    • Private calls: 10 hours worth of private 1:1 calls with me so we can discuss topics in more detail and I can support you on a more personal level.

    • Private WhatsApp group: Each cohort gets a private chat to keep in touch, create a sense of community, ask questions, and hold each other accountable. I’m in the group too, of course, so you’ll have direct access to me for any quick questions or queries.

    • Additional resources: A DropBox folder of extra resources such as e-books, articles, videos etc that you can use to continue learning.

    • 50% off continuing education courses with me: I give my grads a big discount because staying in touch is something I value.

  • That’s a good question.

    • Before becoming a Yoga Teacher I spent many years as a Marketing Manager and Event Planner - so I know what I’m talking about.

    • I even have a degree in advertising and marketing communications.

    • I have first hand experience and I’ll share personal advice - nothing generic or irrelevant.

Even though I’ve had the job title “Yoga Teacher” - I’ve had many roles during that time.

    • I’ve been a travelling Yoga Teacher teaching in different countries around the world.

    • I’ve been employed full time by a popular yoga studio.

    • I’ve owned my own successful yoga studio.

    • I’ve run yoga events such as brunch clubs, workshops and one-day retreats.

    • I’ve hosted many sold-out 3 -7 day retreats.

    • I’ve taught yoga online - both live and pre-recorded classes.

    • I’ve taught private classes, corporate classes and group classes.

    • I’ve run many successful courses and trainings.

I’ve made mistakes along the way, sure - but that only makes me better equipped to help you find your feet and build the best foundation to start from.

A woman with long brown hair smiling and wearing a green sweater, sitting against a plain white wall.

Hi, I’m Jess!

I’ll be your lead teacher throughout the YTT and I’m excited to support you on your journey from student to teacher.

With almost a decade of full-time teaching experience and thousands of hours of study, I’m here to help you understand the why behind the what.

While I’ll be delivering the majority of the content, I’m joined by a team of amazing guest teachers who bring their specialised knowledge to our online sessions.

ABOUT JESS
THE TEACHING TEAM

Styles of yoga

  • Master the foundations of both Hatha and Vinyasa. You’ll learn a fully customisable framework (my personal sequencing approach) that allows you to create everything from a power flow, through to an easy-going restorative session.

I’m not a fan of labels, but I know it’s a helpful guide, so you’ll leave the training able to teach the following styles:

    • Vinyasa flow: powerful, gentle, and everywhere in between.

    • Flow classes: even ones without a single vinyasa.

    • Hatha yoga: including sun salutations and static poses.

    • Non-flow classes: not Iyengar yoga, but a similar approach with individually organised asanas.

    • Peak pose classes: or classes where you work towards a specific asana, or a certain skill.

    • Themed classes: working with a specific element, philosophical topic, or anatomical focus.

    • Relaxing classes: more of a focus on meditation, pranayama, and / or restorative asanas.

For clarity, you won’t be qualified to teach a specific lineage of yoga such as Ashtanga / Jivamukti / Iyengar etc, but other than that any “style” is possible with my approach.

  • You’ll be fully equipped to guide meditations and pranayama too. Whether that’s a simple “settling in” awareness practice at the start of class, a long guided savasana, or specific breathing techniques.

  • From day one we’ll start to strip away the one-size-fits-all approach. You’ll learn how to tailor your classes for all shapes, sizes, and abilities, ensuring your sequences are inclusive for everyone.

    It’s truly an “all-levels” approach.

  • This is a non-dogmatic training, and it’s super important that you can share yoga in a way that resonates with you.

I’ll provide you with all the foundational skills to sequence and teach classes, but I’ll encourage you to adapt and apply them in a way that feels authentic for you.

The rhythm

This gives you a general idea of how the course is structured, but each day will be different depending on the content we’re covering.

  • Over the 16-days you’ll experience an evolution of silence, with each day focusing on a new aspect or approach to the practice.

Very quickly you’ll realise that silence goes far beyond simply not speaking.

From when you wake up until the end of the asana class, you’ll have the opportunity to truly slow down and tune in.

It’s a chance to be present, pay attention on purpose, and savour silence in all shapes and forms.

  • Each morning begins with an extended asana practice, carefully designed to complement what you'll be learning later that day, or provide an opportunity to integrate and apply concepts from the day before.

No two practices are the same - you’ll experience a variety of styles and themes that showcase just how versatile my sequencing framework is. Each one is unique.

Throughout the training, you’ll be encouraged to approach the physical practice with curiosity, exploring movement from a fresh perspective and giving you a new appreciation of asana.

And of course, meditation and pranayama will always be part of the mix.

  • A short break to get some fresh air and a cup of tea.

  • Mornings are for diving deeper. These sessions blend lectures and discussions to explore topics like philosophy in a way that’s engaging, thought-provoking, and genuinely relevant - to your life, your relationships and your own journey of self discovery.

You’ll get a short break part way through the morning session.

  • A two-hour break to grab some food and maybe take a dip in the lake.

  • The afternoons are all about bringing knowledge to life. Some days we’ll break down asanas, alignment, and anatomy; other days we’ll explore the nervous system, breathwork, or meditation in a way that’s practical and applicable.

It’s not always movement-based, but it’s always relevant - deepening your personal practice and developing your teaching skills.

Whether we’re playing with postures, refining cues, or understanding how the body-brain-breath connection, these sessions help you turn information into insight.

You’ll get a short break part way through the afternoon session.

  • Chat, rest, or step outside to stretch your legs.

  • Evening sessions are usually dedicated to practice - planning sequences, refining your teaching skills, and getting comfortable guiding others. You’ll get plenty of hands-on experience so you gain confidence from the get-go.

You’ll get a short break part way through the afternoon session.

Summer in Geneva

The city comes alive in the summer and (in my biased opinion) it’s one of the best places to enjoy the long evenings. The training will finish around 19.30 most days, but sometimes we’ll stop a little earlier so you have time for a lake dip, river swim, or just some extra time to relax.

During summer there’s so much to do - whether you want to enjoy the outdoor cinema, sunrise concerts, or live music in the park. These are all free activities provided by the city, and a wonderful way to unwind after a day of learning.

A quick recap

A reminder of the things that make this training extra special.

  • This training is certified based on the elevated standards that Yoga Alliance recently released.

This means the curriculum covers all of the core competencies and exceeds the previous standard requirements for a 200 hour course.

The certificate you receive is recognised internationally and allows you to teach around the world.

  • With this hybrid YTT you get the best of both worlds.

    • Online foundations so you arrive feeling prepared.

    • A 16-day in-person immersion.

    • Ongoing online support so you can continue to integrate the information once you’re home.

Unlike a weekend training, during the 16 days you’ll be fully immersed in the practice and philosophy of yoga, meaning you can go beyond theory and truly embody the practice.

Living and breathing yoga day in and day out allows you to absorb the material on a deeper level, while also creating lasting connections with your fellow trainees.

  • A whole year of additional advice and on-going personal mentorship on the business and marketing side of yoga if you wish to pursue it as a career. This isn’t something offered in other YTTs.

  • Be part of a close-knit community so you can enjoy personal support from me, as well as forming new friendships with your fellow students.

With a smaller group, there’s more space for individual feedback, questions, and connection with each other.

It means you won’t just be another name on a list or face in the room. You’ll have space to shine, get the support you deserve, and really make the most out of the YTT experience.

  • Amazing guest teachers to enhance the training with their specific skills and areas of expertise.

  • A comprehensive printed manual / textbook with information on everything we cover during the course.

I wrote it myself and it’s pretty awesome.
